One person is dead and seven students of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi sustained series of injuries in a road crash along Bauchi-Jos road in Miri Village, which is few kilometres away from Bauchi metropolis on Monday 09th of September.
The Public Relations Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bauchi Sector Command, Mr Rilwan Sulaiman told the press in Bauchi that the accident involved a commercial Vectra and Sharon on head-on collision, “The Vectra driver died at the spot”, according to him.
He explained that the Sharon that was conveying students of ATBU Bauchi collided with the oncoming empty Vectra, leaving six students injured and their driver dead.
“Our operatives swiftly moved to the scene to rescue the victim and the injured passengers,” he said.
He also added that the corpse was deposited at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital.
